Many of the locomotives during the mid 1980�s were named. These names could be anything from Rivers/Loch�s, Famous composers, Army Regiments, The place they were built and even battleships. Here are some images of various names. |

Left. The name of 47560 �Tamar� named after a Cornish river. |

Right. The name of 50007 �Sir Edward Elgar� named after a famous composer. During 1984 50007 was painted from Railblue into Bruswick Green. It also changed it�s name from Hercules much to the dismay of rail enthusiasts. |

left. Deltic 55022 was named after a famous Scottish regiment The Royal Scots Grey. The class 55�s were either named after regiments or racehorses. 55007 PINZA and 55009 ALYCIDON been my favourites. |
