This site was created to show the variety of locomotives and loco-hauled services during the mid 1980�s.
The title railblue refers to the colour most locos were painted during that period as all were blue with compulsory yellow ends.
This was a time before sectorization and train operating companies.
This was a time when you could travel in compartment stock, when a special offer was �12 anywhere with a young persons railcard, when summer Saturdays produced a regular stream of no-heat locos.
Remember those times here.
